Take a look around to learn more about Lotus cars, the Toyota Prius Hybrid and look at some pictures from my adventures with them, as well as a look into my life.

smleuropa.JPG (26620 bytes)I bought my first Lotus, a 1973 Europa Twin Cam, new in 1973.  I sold it in January 1991, with around 68,000 miles on it.  For the first 13 years, it was my only car.  It put many smiles on my face.  I had always owned cars that were fun to drive, and the Lotus sure fit the bill in that department.  In June, 1990, I bought my next, and current Lotus, a 1988 Esprit Turbo.  It had 9,500 miles on it when I bought it, and now has over 98,000 miles on it.

smcacoast1.JPG (40415 bytes)This photo was taken on the California coast in 1995, when I was on my way to the festival at Laguna Seca near Monterey, when Lotus was the featured marque.

domino1.JPG (107651 bytes) This photo was taken shortly after buying the car.  Domino's Pizza used to advertise speedy delivery, so I thought it only appropriate to temporarily 'borrow' a sign (with permission, of course) and take a picture.  Since then, Domino's has downplayed the speedy delivery due to charges of reckless driving by delivery persons.

This site is continuously under construction, as I am only just learning how, busy enjoying life, and my Lotus.

Check out this web cam, located in downtown Davenport here.

Check out our 'streaming' web cam here.  This web cam is pointed towards our suspension bridges that are now part of the I-74 route.  One of them was built in 1935, the other in 1959.  Sadly, I think this beautiful piece of work is going to be going away within the next 10 years.

Ever since around 1978, I've wanted a Lotus 7.  Never got around to it though.  Thanks to the Locost 7 craze sweeping the globe, building and owning a Home built Lotus 7 clone has never been easier to do.  You can find my Locost building project website and some other goodies here.

goodbye2.jpg (74125 bytes) The Residents -- the World's Most Famous Unknown Band.  Over the past 3 decades they have launched revolutions in studio performance, music video, performance art, multimedia art, and just about every aspect of modern music making.  And still, no-one knows who they are.  I took the photo during their Icky Flix tour in Chicago.

Many years ago, one of them stopped my my place and spent the night.  I still occasionally get his mail.... addressed of course to "Resident".
